Yesterday Vie turned 5 months old so I took the opportunity to photograph her on my all white bedding, I’ve been wanting to do this shoot for a while. She is one happy baby, not to mention she is cute as a button. With eyes that cut their way right into your heart and a smile that’s infectious. She sure brings a lot of joy to our lives, here is hoping she will bring a lot of joy to you today as well!
Vie, I love the way you grab your toes and they go straight to your mouth. My favorite thing to watch you do is laugh, your expressions always make me giggle, and when you look at me with those big eyes, the answer is yes, you can have anything in the world you want. Happy 5 month birthday baby girl!

the eure family

I recently had the opportunity to join the Eure family at Ocean Isle beach for some fun in the sand. Little Corbin melted my heart from the moment he first greeted me at the door, then it was on to the beach where he just kept getting sweeter and sweeter. It’s sessions like these that remind me why I love photography. A great family, a perfect evening, and an opportunity to do my thing and create a really fun set of images for their entire family to enjoy. I hope I get to work with these guys again soon!
What I loved most about this session was Corbin’s little outfit, no shirt and suspenders, with a dapper little hat for the win! This family knows how to snuggle and I do love a great snuggle shot. I’m smitten with the fact that Mom and Dad didn’t mind letting Corbin sit at the edge of the water and splash until his little heart was content, life just does not get any better!

Amanda + Brent | Weddings | wilmington nc
Beth and Shawn were recently married on a beautiful and HOT summer day in Wilmington, NC. Though the temperatures were record breaking, Beth and Shawn remained “cool and collected” while they prepared to see one another. The big day had been building and now that it was finally here the excitement in the air was tangible.
The ceremony was lovely and the tears that rolled down Beth’s cheeks as she spoke her vows to Shawn were memorable and meaningful. The love and excitement of the day carried into the cocktail hour were there were lawn games, tasty treats and great bluegrass music. When it was time for the reception, the party continued on with full steam and the air was filled with endearing words, crazy dance moves and of course, the overwhelming sense of love.
Beth and Shawn, thank you for letting us be a part of your wedding! When we think of you we will remember your generosity, the smiles on your faces every time you looked at one another and how much fun you had on your special day!

Amanda + Brent | Engagement | wilmington nc
Not long ago Brent and I met with Parker and Mac for their engagement session on Figure 8 Island. Brent and I already have a connection to Parker’s family. Several years ago we photographed her sister Lousie’s wedding, so we were very excited to hear about Parker’s engagement. These two have been together for about eight years and watching them together is so sweet. They love to joke around, be silly, and even have a secret hand shake. We had such a great time with both of them and I can’t wait for their big day next year!
Parker and Mac, the time we spent with you made us realize the importance of being silly together and that laughter really does the heart good.

mhp is growing again – lucky number 7!
Bits & Pieces | Claire | Lindsey | Millie | wilmington nc
At Millie Holloman Photography, we’re a pretty lucky bunch. We get to work with amazing couples and families during the happiest times of their lives. We get to express our creativity while earning a living. We have a happy staff that feels like family (and in fact many of us are!) And, with this new announcement, we hope you’ll feel lucky too. Now, you can choose from seven different MHP photographers. Our newest team, Claire and Lindsey, will look familiar to you. Both have been with Millie Holloman Photography in other roles for a while.
Lindsey has been with MHP since the age of 15! She started as a part-time helper, carrying Millie’s bags at photography shoots. Eight years later, with years of image editing, album designing and assistant photography under her belt, Lindsey is stepping into a photographer role. Her classes in Design, Fashion Marketing and Business will all come in handy! She’ll partner with Claire Strebeck.
Claire, who has a BA in Studio Art from Mississippi College, has dabbled in photography for years. In early 2009, Claire launched her own photography business and attended a Love Affair workshop where she met Millie and her team. When Claire’s husband, a Youth and Worship leader, was transferred to a church in the Wilmington area, Claire closed her Mississippi-based business and joined the Millie Holloman Photography team. She has spent the past year learning the MHP style as an Office Assistant and Assistant Photographer.
Together, these two sweet, sassy, spunky Southern Belles make a great team. To learn more about them, see their About Us page. They are available immediately to book 2012 and 2013 weddings, portraits, and events. Please join me in congratulating them in their new roles!
