Sometimes amidst all of the nerves, excitement and hustle and bustle of life you have to take a second to stop, breathe deep, take in the moment, capture a memory, and remember what it feels like in this moment. This is the moment before their lives changed forever. The moment before they found a love they never knew. This is the moment before 2 became 3.
I know these are a little late, since I’ve already posted the birth and day 2 & 3. I’m just getting my film scans in, so there are many more on the way, including Genevieve’s first studio session at one week old.

A super cloudy Thursday afternoon + some film to shoot + a pregnant model + a white scooter + a cuddly dachshund = the below shots. I can’t believe it’s only 19 days until my sweet niece will be here. Amanda, you look amazing!

Amanda you look beautiful! I love that shirt! I would have loved to wear that when I was great with child! And by the way, this may sound funny but your ankles look great! I didnt even have any by that time in the pregnancy, so enjoy that your ankles and calves have not smushed into cankles! Love ya girl, keep us posted on baby Vies arrival! Millie these look great! Way to go Auntie!

I’m giddy, pure giddy to show you these images. There is nothing quite like shooting for your own family and friends to develop a set of images you are excited to show off. I’ve been holding onto these for a couple of weeks. Waiting on film to arrive, then to make the perfect pairings, and pick just the right moment to launch them onto the world wide web. In late April I’m expecting my first niece, Genevieve Hope Holloman. She’s already managed to wiggle her way into my heart right alongside my nephew, Gavin.
For this shoot, we searched to find a brand new location and hoped for baby animals. We were incredibly blessed to find a beautiful pair of newborn lambs and the sweetest person on earth to let us use her farm, our new friend, Faye of Old McFaye’s Farm. Enjoy your introduction to a little piece of how wonderful life is as Brent & Amanda’s wait on little Vie to arrive!
We made new friends in the process of the session. You can be their friend too, like Old McFaye’s Farm on Facebook.

I am so excited to show you Angela and Matt’s baby bump session! Angela is a photographer and it was my honor to capture this oh-so-special time in her life. She is now the proud mommy of Oli, a handsome little boy!
What I remember from that day was … the way Angela and Matt looked at each other and realized they would be parents soon!
