Raccoons, Turtles and Woodpeckers — Oh my! Our last Shoots & Ladders session took place in late March and early April. Our studio was full of cuteness. We styled the set with trees, moss, leaves and a hand painted water color backdrop. Many of our outfits were made by some incredibly talented children’s designers and the remaining were styled by our MHP staff. All of the finishing touches including the tails, masks, antlers, knapsack, turtle shell and many more details are our little labor of love. We hope these photos make you smile because we think these kiddos are as cute as it gets!
Thanks to these fabulous designers for working so hard to make our visions become a reality. Check them out, they are awesome!

How adorable, such cute little expressions. Unique and incredibly creative. Thanks for sharing! They made me smile. Love the little bumble bee with the flowers, and the little boys are sure to be upcoming actors!

Congrats Milile on awesome pictures. The preparation by the MHP team really displayed well in these photos. In addition you had some beautiful subjects in these pictures. GREAT work.

life changes fast

Sometimes amidst all of the nerves, excitement and hustle and bustle of life you have to take a second to stop, breathe deep, take in the moment, capture a memory, and remember what it feels like in this moment. This is the moment before their lives changed forever. The moment before they found a love they never knew. This is the moment before 2 became 3.
I know these are a little late, since I’ve already posted the birth and day 2 & 3. I’m just getting my film scans in, so there are many more on the way, including Genevieve’s first studio session at one week old.

day 2 + day 3 . genevieve
Amanda + Brent | Birth | Millie | One Fine Day | wilmington nc
On Day 2 we had a few firsts: Mommy changed you for the first time. You made the cutest face when I set you on the bed for your first official photo session, this made your Mom and I laugh so hard. You laid with your Daddy on the couch for a while, he cuddled you and smiled so big. You met some of our friends. You skyped with Uncle Seth, Aunt Dana and Gavin. You had your first official family photo taken in the hospital bed.
On Day 3 you were cleared to go home around lunch time. Your Mom and Dad dressed you in the same outfit your Meme and I wore home from the hospital. Your great-great grandmother made it just for Meme. Nono had to go home to work, but he’ll be back very soon to see you. When you got home, Milo was excited to meet you, he licked your feet. Gigi got the house ready for you and started dinner while Meme and Papa helped load and unload the car to get you settled. I took photos of your nursery. Mommy, Daddy, Milo and you rested on the couch. Life was off to a great start and everyone was happy to have you home!
