Shoots & Ladders is headed to the farm!

We will be scheduling each session in a rotating set around the farm. Each family will be assigned to one of our photographer and will be photographed in various locations on the farm. We are only scheduling two days of shooting, and it’s sure to fill VERY quickly. So, email us to book right away!
DETAILS
$99 session fee includes images of your children during a 20 minute mini session (up to 3 kids – $25 per additional child). Please note that as the sessions are outdoors, in the event of rain, we will have a rain date assigned so be sure to block the rain date in your calendar as well when booking your session.
location: Old McFaye’s Farm (must have an appointment, no walk ins)
dress: you will be on an actual working farm, so please do not bring anything you absolutely can not get dirty. You are welcome to wear fun spring outfits, or dress in your cutest farm attire. Anything from a colorful sun-dress to overalls and cowboy boots!
We’ll present the images (4-6 proofs) to you online within two weeks of your session.
Available session times are listed below (those marked through are already taken, please remember we have 4 photographers shooting so if you have booked a time and it is not marked through, we have more slots available during that time):

PLEASE NOTE: Although our sets typically take place in our downtown Wilmington, NC studio, we will be at a different location, on Old McFaye’s Farm. Your session must be paid when booking.
*Payments are non-refundable. Choose your time carefully, once it’s chosen it’s reserved just for you. Be punctual. Showing up late gives you less time on the farm, and could make you forfeit your shoot. Prints sold separately. Batteries not included.

babies + lambs

Last year around this time we made friends with an amazing woman named Farmer Faye. She invited us out to her farm, Old McFaye’s, to meet her newly born lambs and take Amanda & Brent’s maternity photos. I loved all of the animals, so shortly after, we returned to the farm so that my nephew, Gavin, could experience the fun. Recently Faye told me they had new lambs born and she thought of us and the maternity shoot we did almost a year ago. Genevieve LOVES animals and the lambs were only six days old, so we knew this would be the perfect opportunity to capture her 9 month portraits. We headed out to the farm, this time with friends in tow to experience the fun. Thank you Faye for always being such a gracious host and allowing us to visit, we love you!
Our next Shoots & Ladders Session will be at Old McFaye’s Farm so stay tuned for details this coming week! Here is a little sneak peek at so much cuteness my heart can hardly contain it.

OMG! Those are some of the cutest pics i’ve ever seen! The ones with the baby lamb laying on the blanket with Genevieve & Keen are just perfect. Love!

Attention parents: we are making your life even easier because just like last year, this session fee also includes 25 Christmas Cards, which we promise to have in your hands, ready to address by December 3rd. Don’t have kids? That’s okay! You can play, too! Just read below for details.
This set is only two days of shooting and it’s sure to fill VERY quickly (Christmas is always our busiest time for Shoots & Ladders). So, email us to book right away!
DETAILS
$150 session fee includes a family photo and individual images of your children during a 20 minute mini session (up to 3 kids – $25 per additional child) + 25 5×7 Christmas Cards (complete with envelopes)
location: 15 S 2nd Street. Wilmington, NC (must have an appointment, no walk ins)
dress: Think Christmas gather around the living room fire. You can hang up your coats, hats and scarves and show off that festive holiday attire you’ve been wanting to wear. You can even think Christmas Eve at home and come in your favorite PJ’s!
We’ll present the images (4-6 proofs) to you online on Thursday, November 15th. To get your cards back by December 3rd we’ll need you to order these right away!

sneak peek at summer fun

We worked all day yesterday and today getting ready for our Summer Fun set which starts tomorrow and goes through Friday. This set has the most fun colors and props, it’s been a blast to shoot in so far! Today our crew snapped some test shots to play around in the set and kick off Summer Fun, here is a peek at what we got.

dress: Wearing bright summer colors is a fun way to show your warm-weather enthusiasm! Solid, bright colors or patterns. Please no character prints. We will give more detailed suggestions after booking.
We’ll present the images (5 proofs) to you online after the session.
