Jo-Anna and Chuck had so many sweet moments throughout their day, and it was a pleasure to be the photographers capturing it all. One of the best parts of the day, was when Brent and I took Jo-Anna and Chuck to the rooftop of our studio. It was a beautiful evening that included soft light and sweet, sincere moments between these lovebirds.

Jo-Anna and Chuck, we will always remember:

It’s time for another Shoots & Ladders set. We’ve been dreaming this one up for quite a while and we are VERY excited about sharing it with you! This time around our format will be a bit different from past Shoots & Ladders Sessions. We are feeling the urge to do something out of the box and have a little more control over this entire set, so this will be a completely styled shoot!

We are creating a magical storybook forest, and your little one(s) will be transformed into a woodland creature, while still maintaining their own unique personality and appearance. Its our own little version of a woodland world and those who live in it. We have some fabulous designers working to create custom wardrobes!

If you book this sessions, we will require you to comply with our wardrobe/styling suggestions for this set. Each participant will be given their character and outfit requirements after booking their session.

Below are more details. We have limited the number of sessions available, and they are sure to fill VERY quickly so email to book right away.

DETAILS

price: $150 session fee includes a 20 minute mini session* (up to 2 kids – $35 per additional child)

location: 15 S 2nd Street . Wilmington, NC (must have an appointment, no walk ins)

dress: wardrobe mostly provided. we will give more detailed suggestions and assign a forest animal to each child after booking.

We’ll present the images (4-6 proofs) to you online within 4 weeks of your session. Your session must be paid when booking. Payments are non-refundable. Choose your time carefully, once it’s chosen it’s reserved just for you. Be punctual. *Showing up late gives you less time in our set, or could make you forfeit your shoot. Prints sold separately. Batteries not included.

Torri and Mike, the things I remember most about your day are:
1. How Torri cried when she remembered and honored her grandfather by having his cufflinks on her bouquet.
2. Mike asking me repeatedly if I thought his shoes were cool (or course they were).
3. All of the iPhones, I’ve never seen so many iPhone photos posted on Facebook from one wedding.
4. The expression on Torri’s face when she saw the tent flipped for the reception. (see the Salt Harbor blog for this shot and many more)
5. How incredibly thoughtful and giving the two of you are.

The reception was a wine inspired affair that included a wine tasting during the cocktail hour. Jamie and Emory also have a strong passion for conservation and being mindful of the environment, so they wanted to make sure their reception was eco friendly. Thanks to the team at Salt Harbor Designs, they were able to combine their loves and style to give them one magical night! Some of the fun details included a chalkboard for both a dinner menu and escort cards to save on paper, wedding programs that doubled as a bag to house their farewell lavender for guests to toss. Their guest book consisted of fabric squares for a patchwork quilt and they rode away on a pedicab. Classy and “carbon saving”!

Jamie and Emory, there are several things we will always remember from this day, 3 of which are:
1. The excitement on both of your faces when you saw one another the first time that day.
2. Watching you run along side the racers during the marathon. Made us laugh!
3. Your true appreciation and love for one another and for those sharing in your day.

The sunset was a perfect reminder of the beauty of the day.  The thing that stood out to me above every other detail was the way Stephanie and Shane looked at each other throughout the day.  Love is in the air!
