As the weeks pass, and we approach our 6-month anniversary, the importance of your beautiful work is exponentially apparent. We look back on that day with such an idyllic picture of love and laughter, and your pictures allow us to hold onto every expression, smile, and important detail of those hours. Instead of panicking or adding to the logistical to-do’s, you were standing there with a smile and actively searching for the key, calling Hunter with an update, and infusing laughter into any insignificant hiccup. After all, you really understand what should be important on a wedding day and you seem to focus on how it unfolds, versus molding it to an agenda. Your work captures what is going on in such a natural, beautiful way. I love how you refuse to manipulate your pictures, but would rather depict the unique mannerisms, glances, and communication that already exist between two people. In effect, every shot comes to life in such a unique, and above all, REAL way.

You should know that our families rave about you to all who will listen. Bill and I have been to many weddings since our own wedding. At several of them, I have been blown away by how utterly intrusive the photographers were in the events. At a high-end, budget-less wedding, the bride and her dad couldn't make it to where the groom was standing because the photographers were in the way! Even at weddings where the photographers were not quite so intrusive, they were still omnipresent, always calling out directions and moving people around. Despite all of that, none of their photos are as beautiful as yours. Thank you for doing such beautiful work, and somehow being hardly seen or heard at all. I remember on the Sunday after my wedding thinking to myself how I missed you because I felt like I had not seen you at all on our wedding day.
