Crystal and Arnold met me at Wrightsville Beach recently for a maternity session. They are so excited to be expecting their first child together in just a few weeks! Newly relocated to the area and long time surfers, Crystal and Arnold will have even more fun on the beach this summer with their new little one!
What I remember most about this session is Crystal tearing up after seeing a sneak-peak from the back of my camera of Arnold’s embrace. You two are the sweetest! Congratulations on little your “Baby Turtle!” I hope to get to meet her soon and see the two of you again. Best wishes for a smooth delivery!

Engagement | Millie | Photographers | wrightsville beach nc
Happy & Bill’s engagement session was my last photo shoot of 2012, New Years Eve to be exact. I met up at their beach cottages’, that’s right plural. The reason they have two cottages side by side? That’s my favorite part of their story, they grew up side by side, their families even shared a dock. Both went their separate ways and now life has brought them together in a new and exciting way. They are getting married this April! Now they’ll share much more than a dock and their families could not be happier, neither could they. Loved hanging out with these two!
Happy & Bill, It isn’t often that neighbors and friends for life become such an integral part of your future, what a blessing! I so enjoyed our time laughing and getting to know one another. Perhaps my favorite part was getting to see how perfectly smitten Bill is with you and how “happy” you are to be with him (no pun intended).

the cheek family

It’s hard to believe that 6 months ago I was in a delivery room watching this little girl enter the world. When there are kids in your life it seems to move that much faster. For Tilley-Gray’s six month photos we spent an evening on the beach giggling at her cuteness, running towards her to stop sand from being swallowed, and of course picking her up and putting her right back where she was so she’d just move again. Love this little bit!
Gray and Lindsey, Thanks to you both for jumping in on the session even though I talked you into it once you arrived! 
Watching you two fall in love with this little girl has been awesome. I sure do love your little family. Here’s to a lifetime of many more milestones and celebrations!

Glitz, glam, Hollywood. These are just a few of the words I could use to describe Torri and Mike’s big day. This high fashion event was the talk of the town I’m sure. Salt Harbor pulled out all of the stops which included a blue carpet aisle for guests to enter, more cocktail hours than I’ve ever seen at a wedding, a breathtaking bride, a dapper groom, amazing out of the box design, sensational food, a cabana dessert bar, an epic sunset, the list goes on, just take a peek for yourself!
Torri and Mike, the things I remember most about your day are:
1. How Torri cried when she remembered and honored her grandfather by having his cufflinks on her bouquet.
2. Mike asking me repeatedly if I thought his shoes were cool (or course they were).
3. All of the iPhones, I’ve never seen so many iPhone photos posted on Facebook from one wedding.
4. The expression on Torri’s face when she saw the tent flipped for the reception. (see the Salt Harbor blog for this shot and many more)
5. How incredibly thoughtful and giving the two of you are.
What an amazing day to remember, I’m so happy to have made your A list!
