I recently spotted a great recipe on Pinterest (which I pinned a while back) and decided to whip it up. I adjusted the recipe to my liking (which you’ll find below) and it was so well received by the office staff at MHP that I made it yesterday and today. No leftovers here and it’s healthy!

Stephanie and Shane were married on a beautiful day on Bald Head Island. The day was filled with exciting moments including a bagpipes and bells exit, a ride on a tandem bike, and even a flash mob during the reception headed up by the parents. The florals stood out as an elegant touch. They were designed by Stephanie’s mother, and were absolutely beautiful. Another standout was the dresses. The bridesmaids picked their own and Stephanie had a surprise costume change for her and Shane’s first dance, which was really swinging!
The sunset was a perfect reminder of the beauty of the day. The thing that stood out to me above every other detail was the way Stephanie and Shane looked at each other throughout the day. Love is in the air!
Also, a big thank you goes to Ashley for being the best assistant/sidekick/comic relief I could have asked for on this wedding!
A beautiful girl, a handsome Marine, an incredible location, gorgeous light… what more could a photographer ask for?
Melissa and Nick’s gorgeous wedding on Bald Head Island may have just been one of my favorites of the year. When we met for their First Look, they were so excited and giddy to see each other that they literally could not stop smiling and laughing. It was absolutely contagious!
Three things I loved about being with you on this day: I love the genuine joy your families had for the two of you getting married. I love the way Nick played with the new ring on his finger. And most of all, I love the way the two of you are completely smitten for each other!
I have known Jenny for almost as long as I have lived in North Carolina. She is one of the best, sweetest people on the planet. Just ask her friends. It was such a pleasure to meet Brig, her fiancé, and take them out for a day of fun in the midst of their wedding preparation. The one thing Jenny asked for during this session was that it would be different. She didn’t want pictures that could be mistaken for anyone else’s. I think we accomplished that by adding personal touches with the skateboard and starting their shoot in an unlikely place. A parking garage!
My favorite thing about working with Jenny and Brig was finding out how much Brig adores my beautiful friend Jenny. He twirls her hair and makes her laugh. Love is in the air.
A little sneak peek of some random images we snapped on our iPhones last week around the studio. Milo sleeping on the desk while Amanda works (an every day occurence), and our brand new air plant installation which was a fun group effort to put up. We love our creative and spacious MHP studio, incredibly grateful to call this home!
