Not only was Macon and Robert’s day a beautiful one (and we like to contribute that to “burying the bourbon”), but it was also full of special moments shared between their family and friends. Whether it was a sweet gesture from Macon’s father or snapshots of guests letting loose on the dance floor, they are all moments that make us smile or even tear up. It’s apparent how much Macon and Robert love one another, but it is also clear to see how much love and support they have from those around them. Brent and I were so thrilled to have the opportunity to work with these two and we wish them the best as they continue to write their story together!
Macon and Robert, even though months have passed, we can still remember the expressions of excitement on your faces after you were announced as husband and wife. We hope that same excitement continues to grow and intensify as you build through the years together.
We also couldn’t end the post without thanking all of these wedding professionals for giving Macon and Robert the wedding of their dreams!

Last year was full of weddings, new experiences and even some transition for MHP, it was a wild ride! We had the opportunity to be a part of some beautiful events and weddings. We didn’t have a chance to feature many of these events on our blog so we are going back in time a bit through our 2012 year starting with the Macon and Robert, who were married this past fall!
Brent and I had a wonderful time getting to know Macon, Robert and their families and it was an honor to capture sweet moments from their Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding. Below is just a snippet from their Rehearsal Dinner. Stay tuned for another post from Macon and Robert’s wedding weekend coming soon!
Katie and John’s wedding was classic Southern gentility. We even had a surprise visit from a Civil War reenactor! Their wedding was on a beautiful spring day in the historic downtown of New Bern, North Carolina, and their ceremony was in one of THE most perfect antebellum chapels I have seen in a long time. The details from Katie’s mother’s veil to her father’s getaway convertible added personal touches to a really fun day. “Heavenly Day” by Patti Griffin was a perfect song for their first dance. It truely was a heavenly day.
Katie and John, Lindsey and I had such a great time with you guys and cannot wait to shoot your additional wedding festivities in July!
