Kristen and Andrew are one of my favorite couples of all time. They are so genuine, so friendly, and as you’ll see, both incredibly beautiful people. They are the kind of people I wish I lived closer to, so that we could be best friends in real life. But, since they’re in Ohio, I guess I’ll settle for getting to share these images with you from their picture perfect wedding day on Bald Head Island.
There were so many emotional moments during their wedding day – the beautiful gifts Kristen received from her family members, their super fun first look, their families praying over them during their ceremony, and the unbridled joy as everyone let loose at the reception. Well, just take a look – you’ll see…
Kristen and Andrew – The things I will always remember about your wedding are the way your love was so strong it was almost tangible, all the genuine excitement from your family and friends to see the two of you married, and the dress. Oh, the dress! Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day – it was truly an honor to be there!
All of the fantastic professionals that helped make this day as beautiful as it was:

While Brent and I were in Louisiana photographing a wedding, we also had the opportunity to work with the Landry family. Not only does this clan have style, but they have hearts of gold too! I originally met Stacy when she attended Love Affair Workshop (a workshop Millie taught several years back) and got to know her over lunch one afternoon. She and Matt also came and did a One-to-One workshop with Millie and Brent designed their branding for their photography business. When Matt and Stacy told us they hadn’t had any family pictures taken since their daughter Emerson was little, we were excited to be able to capture them as a family of four with their little guy, Breaker. Thanks to the Landry Family for a chilly but beautiful Saturday morning! We had such a great time with all of you and we hope to see you again soon!
This sweet family drove in from Pinehurst for their session and I was really trying to make the most of the conditions we were dealt. It was an incredibly windy and cold day… so cold in fact, I wore gloves and 3 shirts to their session (and I’m hot natured). Their littlest one, Emma, was freezing and she wasn’t super thrilled about having to be out in sub zero temperatures but somehow in between trips to the car for her to thaw out, lots of nose wiping, and a location change to try and block the wind, we managed to get some incredibly fun images of this adorable family. Sometimes the sessions that seem the most challenging are the sessions that turn out to be my favorites! Perhaps it’s because you get what you get and it’s 100% them!
Also, Rachel is a photographer herself! When you are a photographer most of your time is spent on the other side of the lens which makes these photos of Rachel with her family that much sweeter! The images you see below are a mix of film and digital too.
