I’m just giddy to be able to share this four part post with you! From the engagement session, to the rehearsal dinner and Wedding (part one and part two). I’ve had to keep these images under wraps for a little while now while waiting for Martha Stewart Weddings to publish them. Now that they have been released, I can share them here with all of you! Hooray!
I first visited Blackberry Farm on a surprise trip for my best friend and studio manager, Amanda, years ago. We loved every minute of our first visit so when I spoke with Sally over the phone and she told me she was getting married on Blackberry Farm, I was elated. I’m pretty convinced there isn’t a much better place on earth to visit or to photograph, especially for a wedding! The day started out in the most perfect homes where both Sally and Christian got ready. Amazing collections of Le Cruset cookware keeping the shelves cozy, delectable appetizer spreads, and champagne for everyone. Perhaps one of my favorite moments of the day was when I finished photographing Sally and the girls at the farm house. As they were leaving, I turned back around for one last look at the garden just in time to see the chefs browsing the garden in their white coats, selecting only the finest ingredients for the reception that evening. From farm to table is indeed how they do things at Blackberry Farm. I stood in awe most of the day at their impeccable timing and service to this couple, from the plate presented to the couple and signed by Farmer John post ceremony to the servers perfectly timed plate placement in unison at the reception.
A gracious family, a gorgeous day, I’m in love with everything about this wedding, the entire weekend! Part two coming soon and you will not want to miss the reception which took place in the most beautiful barn I’ve ever seen!
Thanks to the fabulous crew that pulled together to make sure Sally & Christian’s day was the best it could be!
