Brent and I enjoyed quite a bit of travel during the wedding season last fall. One of those weddings brought us to the NC mountains, where the trees were splashed with many different oranges and reds. Nicole and Skyler’s wedding weekend was gorgeous and it started with a rehearsal dinner in Pilot Mountain. The JOLO Winery and Vineyards was a gem, settled in the heart of the countryside. The evening was complete with beautiful flowers, delicious food and lots of stories shared by friends and family of Nicole and Skyler. It was a perfect beginning to a wonderful weekend!
Stay tuned for the second half of the weekend that includes many more beautiful moments and an unforgettable party coming your way on the blog tomorrow.
Thanks to all who helped make Nicole and Skyler’s wedding weekend amazing!

Congrats to Sarah and Michael on your first month of marriage! To celebrate, we thought it would be fun to share some of our favorite images from their engagement session. The weather that afternoon was crazy cool and included lots of sunshine and fog all at once. Brent also enjoyed playing with his prisms and captured a shot that is pretty amazing! Enjoy!
Amanda and I teamed up for this family session on Figure Eight Island. Just from our conversations with Lee, the grandmother, we knew this session would be a lot of fun! We were right, a big group in the perfect blend of colors made for a great evening beachside.
Hannah and Grey were married along the intracoastal waterway in Beaufort, NC. Despite the hustle of everyone running around and getting ready for a day full of magic, I stopped for a moment and took notice of Hannah who was calm and absolutely stunning. Brent headed over to meet up with Grey who was all smiles and ready for one incredible evening. There were so many great moments from the day; the way Hannah’s step-dad, Steve held her before heading to the ceremony, the captivated look on Grey’s face as Hannah spoke her vows to him, and the dancing–oh the dancing!
Hannah and Grey, thanks again for a lovely weekend. It’s clear how much your family and friends love you both and it was joy to celebrate with all of you!
And thank you to everyone who contributed to Hannah and Grey’s big day. With out you, we wouldn’t have these beautiful images to share!

Here is a look back at a poolside engagement session Brent and I photographed for Hannah and Grey. We spent the evening with this adorable duo at Hannah’s parents’ home. Their backyard was amazing, a dream to photograph, and definitely a place where one could relax and enjoy some quiet time. Stay tuned for a look at Hannah and Grey’s gorgeous wedding, coming your way tomorrow!
