Meet Ashlee and Scott. Two of the most kind hearted people you’ll ever meet. Here is a peek of their wedding day in Downtown Wilmington. I shot this wedding last October. I’m still playing catch up with blog posts so hang tight, I’ve got more 2011 weddings coming.

Ashlee and Scott, Thinking back on your wedding day some of my favorite moments were seeing how much family means to the two of you, watching you cuddled during the trolley ride, and ending your wedding day with fireworks on the rooftop, life does not get much better! Although we were neighbors who had never met prior to your engagement, I hope we can keep in touch for a lifetime!

On March 22, The Atrium will be hosting A Bright Idea: A showcase featuring rentals by Harborside Event Rentals and lighting by High Performance Lighting.
Harborside Event Rentals is the sister company of Salt Harbor Designs and was created to rent event decor and furniture that customers cannot find from local rental companies. Much of what Salt Harbor Designs purchases for individual events becomes rental inventory for Harborside. Now, they have organized the products into collections, so the DIY bride can duplicate some of the looks from Salt Harbor’s past events.
They have teamed up with High Performance Lighting who is bringing all of their lighting options out of storage so planners and brides can check out everything they have to offer as well! Steve from High Performance will be on site to answer all of your lighting and power questions.
Whether you are a bride, a vendor, a wedding planner, or a local resident who might need some party ideas, do not miss this event! It will be full of great event ideas and so much more!
March 22nd in The Atrium | 15 S. 2nd Street | Downtown Wilmington, NC | 6-9pm

It was a gorgeous day in Coral Spring, Florida. Sigrid and Bart tied the knot in their Aunt’s back yard surrounded by their friends and family. Details like antique china, vintage furniture strewn about the lawn, a chandelier hung from a tree, and a dance floor with Italian string lights above made this one of a kind event even more memorable. It was my pleasure to photograph every moment!

A few things I will never forget about Sigrid and Bart’s beautiful back yard wedding:
1. The happy couple leading their guests into the reception area with balloons and “Love Train” playing in the background.
2. Sigrid’s father coming to the altar to sneak one more kiss on the cheek to his daughter during the ceremony. Sweet moment!
3. The night sky, filled with stars and romance.
Beautiful couple! Looked like a fun wedding to shoot!
Oh my gawwd, but seriously Siggy you are so beautiful!!! Bart looking good on the dance floor. I cant say enough I am so happy this looks 100% perfect…but you are missing a pinata
Rachel! I love these pics! This wedding is gorgeous and looks like all the guests had so much fun. Great job!
Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures. I feel like I was at your wedding!
such a beauiful bride, groom and wedding….the pictures capture the happiness and love of the couple.
Rachel & Claire, what a beautiful job! You really captured the essence of the night and were so wonderful to work with. I wish we could do it all over again!
Brittany and Reed were married last year. This wedding was amongst the largest I’ve ever photographed, too many people to count, the largest tent I’ve ever seen set up for one wedding, 4 different modes of transportation, and one really amazing time! The band was fantastic, the food was tasty and everything was perfect. Perhaps my most favorite part of the wedding was knowing the place the reception was held has such a special place in their heart, the family lodge.

Brittany & Reed, I’ll always remember:
1. How dramatic the clydesdales were as they trotted towards your reception.
2. The beautiful moments you shared over that vibrant sunset.
3. What a fun party your reception was, some of the most fun dancing I’ve ever photographed!

For Brent and I, one of the best parts about capturing couples on their wedding day is documenting the little things. The groom’s cologne, the bride showing her ring to her bridesmaids, and even a stolen kiss between the newlyweds. All of these sweet moments are memories our clients like to recall when looking through their photos.
Jo-Anna and Chuck had so many sweet moments throughout their day, and it was a pleasure to be the photographers capturing it all. One of the best parts of the day, was when Brent and I took Jo-Anna and Chuck to the rooftop of our studio. It was a beautiful evening that included soft light and sweet, sincere moments between these lovebirds.

Jo-Anna and Chuck, we will always remember:
1. Your excitement throughout the entire day!
2. Enjoying the sunset with both of you on the roof top overlooking downtown Wilmington.
3. Watching you and your guests truly enjoy your wedding from start to finish.
Thank you to everyone who helped make Jo-Anna and Chuck’s day wonderful!
